Traffic was backed up following a two-vehicle crash at the corner of Route 9A and Route 119 in Elmsford.
The incident took place around 9:15 a.m. Thursday when one vehicle hit another, sending it flying on its roof.
One driver was able to get out of the car, but the woman in the flipped vehicle was cut out of her seatbelt by a Good Samaritan and pulled away. She was transported to the hospital for treatment, said the woman's husband.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
